Treatments

Massage offerings drawn from a range of techniques and modalities tailored to you

What to expect

Your session is customized by blending the techniques that best serve your goals. This is how massage therapy really works, less like choosing a single style off a menu and more like drawing from a toolbox to address whatever you bring in, whether that's chronic tension, a specific injury, or simply the need to slow down and reset.

A first visit is a good candidate for a longer session, which leaves unhurried time to discuss health history and establish long-term wellness goals.

Treatment offerings

Therapeutic Massage

A therapeutic massage blends several techniques into one seamless treatment, guided by your goals and adjusted as your body responds. It's well suited to sore muscles, chronic areas of tension from posture or desk work, pain and limited mobility, and general relaxation and nervous system reset.

Modalities used

Deep Tissue Massage

Slow, deliberate strokes with sustained, localized pressure that reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Rather than working broadly across the body, this technique targets specific areas of tension and adhesion and releases them gradually. Common focus areas include the neck, shoulders, lower back, and hips, where posture, stress, and repetitive movement tend to accumulate.

Swedish Circulatory Massage

Long, flowing, slow rhythmic strokes with your choice of pressure. Deeply relaxing, it eases stress and anxiety, reduces muscle tension and pain, improves joint mobility and flexibility, and increases circulation to encourage the removal of toxins and waste.

Myofascial Release

Sustained, medium pressure that stretches the fascia and allows its fibers to release. Fascia is the elastic web of connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, and organ. Trauma, posture, repetitive strain, and inflammation can leave it tight, causing pain and reduced range of motion.

Chi Nei Tsang (Chinese Medical Abdominal Massage)

Rooted in an ancient Taoist practice that views the abdomen as the body's emotional and energetic center, this treatment works the abdominal muscles, fascia, and organs. It assists in releasing stress, anxiety and emotional blockages. It can ease bloating, constipation, painful periods, and back pain while increasing circulation and boosting immune system function.

Neuromuscular Therapy

A focused form of deep tissue work using very specific, sustained pressure to release trigger points, the muscle spasms commonly known as "knots" that can restrict blood flow, compress nerves, and pull posture out of balance.

Specialized Treatments

Specialty massages are thoughtfully adapted to specific life stages and health circumstances, adjusting technique, pressure, and positioning to meet you exactly where you are.

It eases the physical discomforts of pregnancy, including low back and pelvic pain and swelling in the extremities, while encouraging relaxation and connection with your changing body. Pillows and bolsters support a comfortable, safe side-lying position for you and your baby.

Postpartum massage offers a moment of calm as your body recovers from childbirth, gently easing soreness and muscle tension, improving circulation, and reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.

Oncology Massage

This specialized session is for those in active cancer treatment, recent recovery or long-term survivorship. Each massage is thoughtfully adapted to ensure a safe, effective and nurturing experience while being mindful of where the individual is in her treatment journey and the resulting side effects, both short and long term.

Aromatherapy

As a trained, professional-level aromatherapist, I often incorporate essential oils into my treatments. These natural plant extracts—drawn from flowers, leaves, bark, roots, and resins—can be inhaled or blended into a massage oil. I find them helpful for easing muscle soreness, improving sleep quality, and reducing stress and anxiety. Scent also has a unique way of connecting us to memory and emotion We can discuss your preferences and decide together whether to include them in your session.

With essential oils, quality matters. I source my oils from Eden Botanicals. They grow and process the finest ingredients available from their five organic farms located in North America, Africa and Europe. This direct source ensures expertise in harvesting and extraction methods, and quality and transparency in all stages of production.
